2017.03.31 03:49 BakerOne My story and the void that it left inside me

I apologize in advance for this long post but I just had to get it off my chest as it is a big weight on my shoulders right now.
Me 24/M I met her(Natasha) on my clan TeamSpeak for the game War Thunder I play, initially we were just playing the game together. She supposedly lives in Russia as Teamspeak indicates so(she probably used VPN) she has a Russian accent as well. Soon I started to like her and it wasn't too long we started chatting together even after playing video games. We start to text with Instagram, she is super beautiful, for me a 10/10. We chat till like 4 in the morning sometimes, we talk about everything and I just fall in love with her. She has a lot of sad stories with her, she told me she had to flee Ukraine because of the war and that her family lost everything there. Now living in Russia she had to care for her father because he is an "old man" and could not take care of himself anymore. Her mother didn't love him anymore and that's why she had to do all the work.
This was the happiest time of my life, before that I just played video games all day long and didn't do anything constructive. (I am really addicted to the PC; playing video games, watching youtube videos and in general wasting time on in and forgetting reality). After meeting Natasha I started to have plans again, I ran every 2 days for about 30 mins and doing some exercises after that. After 13 sessions my time went down from 33:20 to 29:00(I always run the same path), I started to care again about myself and made plans to meet her.
I thought a few times about it beeing to nice to be real, but after all, I met her while playing a video game and she was too good at it to be a bought account to scam people(it was a high lvl account). After initial doubts I had because of the fact that there are a lot of women from Russia that try to scam men online for money or to move to a better country,(I'm from Switzerland) I stopped thinking about it. I still was concerned that at some point she might ask me for something and then I would know she would scam me.
After about a month I ask her if she wants to be my girlfriend and she agrees, I was so happy, from that point onwards I wake up and the first thing I think of is her and the last thing before going to bed too.
At this point she started a job as a model for clothes and other stuff, everything went well. I was hopeful that with this new job she had and the better pay that came with it, problems would become less and we would meet soon. I craved for her and so did she for me, we loved each other so much that even if I had a bad day I didn't care anymore, the only thing I cared about was Natasha.
At the end of February, I had to go to the army for about 1 month, during this time we chatted a little bit less because her phone broke and she had to use the phone of her father to text me. She still sent pictures of her and on her birthday she made her first big mistake. She living in Murmansk, sent me pictures of her and her group of friends in summer clothing and told me that it was the best day they had this year so far, so they could be outside lightly clothed. At first, I didn't think much of it, but someone told me that the Captain of the unit I was placed in spoke russian. So one day I asked him tips to learn russian, a few days later as I was sick as fuck I went into his office with him to see it there was some medicine lying around. Here he asked me why I was interested in learning Russian, I answered him that I got a Russian girlfriend and I wanted to know some basics that I can use when I will visit her in Russia. He then asks if she is from here, I say no I met her online, at this point the Captain turn extremely serious and says "be careful with Russian women, they are masters of disguise".
This is the moment where my brain snaps out beeing stupidly in love with this girl and I start to reason again. I remember 2 things: 1. At valentine's day, I sent her a postcard where I put a lot of effort in and some flowers. She never got those 2, I thought it was because I used the wrong mail address, because I wanted to surprise her and didn't directly ask her. Instead I asked where she lived and what her phone number was so I could call her in the case something bad would ever happen. After 2 weeks or so after I sent her the flowers, I check my e-mail and see a mail from the flower service telling me that at the apartment nobody of the name of Natasha was living. Even after calling the recipients phone number that was required for making the order, they didn't find anyone with the name of Natasha. When I first red this e-mail I just thought I made some kind of mistake and didn't think much of it, but now after beeing warned by my Captain it reappeared in my mind.
  1. I remembered the pictures on the sunny day she sent me, so I go on google and check out the weather of the week of her birthday. Every single day was cloudy and the temperatures during the day reached a maximum of 1° Celcius. So there was no way it was warm that day.
I didn't ask her about it, I wanted to wait till I got home from the army to google her images. So I did and there it was, the third picture I used popped up and I found out that all her pictures were from a Russian model that took part in the miss Russia competition in 2016, Daria Kurdyukova. From 1 second to the other a whole person vanished into nothingness, she was the perfect girl for me. Maybe not for others but for me, she was everything, even if it was only 2 months that we were together, but she was it. If she would have been real I would have married her at some point, no doubt in my mind.
Now I'm left with 1000 questions, the weird thing to me is that she never tried to scam me and didn't ask for anything. So what did she want? Before I wanted to confront her, I go to speak to my clan mates in teamspeak. I talk to a guy I knew she was texting with for a while, he tells me things she said to him that were exactly the same things she said to me. Like "I would love to lie on your chest and hear your heart beat" and other stuff like that, he wisely stopped her and they didn't continue chatting in a "romantic way". At this point, I'm convinced that she joined our TeamSpeak to scam somebody. I go on a website to find out in what other War Thunder clans she was in, I join the TeamSpeak of one of them and tell them my story of how I think this girl tries to scam me and that she is a former clan member of theirs. I ask if they remember a Russian girl of the name of Natasha, they say no but the user name in-game was the same I showed them. We talk for quite a bit but one guy says, "I have known this girl under a different name and I have been friends with her for a long time and I cannot imagine she would ever try to scam someone". The girl they knew was a Student from Kanada with french accent that is currently in France for a student exchange and is studying engineering.
At this point, the only thing that matched was that we knew she spoke English, french Russian and finish. I tell them that I am going to record her voice so they can tell me if it is her. After the discussion I go to bed, the next morning I wish a good morning to Natasha and ask her if she had time to talk in the evening. As I didn't get a reply and it was already 4 o'clock I decide to check on the other TeamSpeak if the guys knew anything more. I join and the guy that said "I can't imagine her doing something like that" turns out to be her boyfriend for 5 months and chatted with her for 4 hours that night. He then told me she was gone, both Instagram accounts canceled(the one she used for me and the one used for him). This is where it hit me really hard, even thou I knew she didn't exist for 2 days already as I googled her pictures. Now was the time where one of my bigger fears came true, she is gone and I am sitting here with tears in my eyes with no answers. I have a void inside me that I cannot fill, I want to know why she did this and what she wanted from me. I mean she never asked for money or anything else, why build up a relationship, invest so much time in it and not get anything out of it. She was chatting with me and atleast this other guys at the same time, that is a incredible ammount of work.
This boysfriend number 2 then told me a few thing they were talking about, one thing that came up it that she can't tell who she is because it would put her in danger. She even went so far to say that she worked for the FSB and she joined the War Thunder clan teamspeak to find a certain person and get some kind of information and we 2 where not planned to happen. This is all a lie in my eyes, just like everything else.
1 day later she joins a new clan, we get in touch with the clan leader and invite him over on our teamspeak server. We tell him everything that has happened to us. He then tells us that he has been friends with her for 4 years now, and tells us her "real" name and that she is from Finnland. Which is a lie as well I think, because I remember Natasha playing with a Finnish guy and she was asking for correction when speaking Finnish with him, so she knew enough to get by but not enough to be a mother tongue. I google Finnland and it is bilingual, Finnish and Swedish apparently. So what this guy said doesn't make sense, she would know Finnish perfectly if she would be from Finnland. He went on saying that he knows for certain that it is her because they video called at some point and that the girl he knows is not another fake, he even has her as a friend on facebook. I obviously asked if I could have a link. He denied, I get that, I wouldn't probably give out social media links to some strangers either. What I found extremely weird was that he didn't ask a single question, I go as far to say he knew who we were before he even joined the teamspeak. From what I understood he and Natasha talk about everything and somehow maybe as well about her catfishing people. I don't know, I'm confused. I can see her in that clan, I know this guys has her "real" social media profile, he knows about her catfishing people by now and still is like "she is just my good friend". I messaged Natasha on her ingame account but she probably blocked me as she didn't reply even as she was online. Another thing he said and she told me about it a few times as well, is that apparently she has a stalker and this is the reason that she changes clans so often.
So much information yet no real answers, I just lost my soul mate and I fear I will never find anyone else that I will love like I loved her. For now, I can't forget about it, I think about it all the time. It is a story without ending, a void inside me that I cannot fill. I asked this guy to ask the "real" Natasha if she could come over and talk, but I fear that won't happen.
What do you guys think? Any advice? I just had to write this down, I hope someone reads this because I feel alone right now and I don't know what to do. All I know is that I'm missing the ending to fill my void, even if it is a sad one I still would appreciate it.
P.S. That guys is a jerk, either he is in with it or he is just a jerk for not helping us out.
